Edgewater Drive Oct 2016 Update
A temporary traffic pattern change will be in effect between Midway Boulevard and Lake View Boulevard for isolated work in the coming weeks, including the completion of curb construction beginning Monday, Sept. 26. At that time, Edgewater Drive will be converted to a normal divided roadway configuration open to local traffic only. Motorists are asked to use caution and observe all traffic striping and signage. Access for residents will be via Midway Boulevard and Lake View Boulevard using the new Lake View roundabout.

Local motorists are also asked to be aware of the adjusted traffic pattern near the intersection of Edgewater Drive and South Waterway Drive NW near the Sunrise Park entrance.
The westbound lane of W. Tarpon Boulevard is closed temporarily, due to a water main relocation as part of the Parkside Redevelopment project. This lane closure is intermittent and will be opened after 5:30 p.m. Traffic is being detoured north and south on Port Charlotte Boulevard.
Road restoration will take place as soon as possible after the utility work is completed. The Utilities Department advises motorists to use caution while driving near the affected area.
